We went to the hospital on Friday, September 16, when my wife started having consistent contractions about 5min apart. When we got to the hospital she was only 1cm dilated so they sent us back home. We went back to the hospital on Monday morning, September 19, when my wife thought her water broke… Again we were sent home because she was only 2cm dilated. She continued to have contractions that increased in intensity through the day and we decided to go back to the hospital around 9pm. By the time we got everything ready and got to the hospital is was 11:12pm and she was 8cm dilated, at which point we were promptly admitted. There was no time for her to get any drugs such as an epidural, and her water broke at 11:44pm while waiting for the doctor to arrive at the hospital. By the time the doctor arrived she was had three sets of contractions in which she was allowed to bear down and push before Karter made his first appearance.
